Workshop for Professionals.
Workshops for teachers of special children focus on specific needs and disabilities, including ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities, and cover topics like inclusive teaching methods, behavior management, and creating individualized education programs (IEPs). Programs can range from short workshops to comprehensive certification or diploma courses and often include practical components like hands-on training, internships, or site visits.
Workshop and training topics
- Disability-specific knowledge: Understanding and supporting specific conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down Syndrome, and learning disabilities.
- 1:1 Service Training : Training Teachers to get used to the 1:1 format of service along with the other components of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Method. This Format is mostly not familiar with professionals who are new to Special Education and ABA method in general. 1:1 Service requires complete focus on the student they’re assigned to. Our workshop aims to make our teachers capable of adapting to this format of education.
- Inclusive teaching: Strategies for adapting lesson plans and curriculum to meet diverse learning needs through methods like differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
- Behavior management: Techniques for positive reinforcement, managing disruptive behavior, and supporting emotional and social development.
- Assessment and intervention: Learning to assess special needs and create individualized intervention plans.
- Communication and collaboration: Working effectively with parents, therapists, and other school staff to create a support system.
- Practical skills: Hands-on experience, lesson observation, and experience-sharing sessions to apply theoretical knowledge in a classroom setting.
